The Watchung Mountain Riders were formed in year the year 2000. Founded by Jimmy Collins (Guitar), Josh Kessler, (Mandolin and Guitar) Miguel Rodriguez (Drums), Derek French (Bass) and Antar (Guitar) as a weekend project to record acoustic dead music. While taking a recording break Josh came up with the name Watchung Mountain Riders and a band was formed. Over the years this band has had many friends and band members. Founding members Jimmy, Josh and Miguel still are playing in the band today. Beside their passion for the music of the Grateful Dead. The band will play music from others (Allmans, Who, Stones, Zeppelin, Little Feat, Beatles, Phish)
